Assistant Director

Tatiana (she/her) is the Assistant Director of The Nook. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. Tatiana earned her Master’s and Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. A substantial amount of Tatiana’s clinical work is in helping adolescents and adults navigate through childhood trauma, relational trauma, shame, identity work, interpersonal challenges, emotional regulation, grief, anxiety,religious/spiritual trauma, depression, self-harm, sexual trauma, LGBTQ+ related issues, and racial oppression.

As the Assistant Director of The Nook, Tatiana supports the directors in the management and oversight of the practice and provides clinical guidance and mentorship to the therapy team. She is also running point in setting up the second location of The Nook in Tampa, including recruitment of team members, building relationships with the local community, and preparing to run the day-to-day operations alongside the other directors.

Tatiana is trained in the somatic based therapeutic approach of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Tatiana primarily takes a humanistic, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to her therapy. She often integrates the works of Narrative Therapy, CBT and Internal Family Systems, as well. Tatiana aims to ensure that her work is multicultural, intersectional, and trauma-informed.

Tatiana holds a warm, energetic, non-judgmental and compassionate presence in her sessions. She believes all humans are valuable/worthy, and that each hold the ability to move towards their individual needs. Tatiana believes her job as a therapist is to walk alongside her clients, and help create a space for them to heal, reconnect to themselves, and grow. When Tatiana is not in the office, you can find her running on trails, talking ad nauseam about the books she is currently reading, or dancing to Taylor Swift!
