Jen Burgess, Ed.S.

Clinician

Jen is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern through the state of Florida and a graduate from the University of Central Florida with her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. Jen has experience in working with children, families, and adults and likes to make the therapeutic process individualized to each client.

Jen has a certificate in play therapy and enjoys working with children, adolescents and families who may be working through ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, stage of life
changes, low self-esteem, trauma, child/ parent relationship concerns, foster care, and adoption. Jen believes in meeting children and families where they are at and utilizes play, art and movement through the therapeutic process.

Jen works with adults who are experiencing stage of life changes, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Jen creates a safe and nurturing environment where clients are encouraged to explore
their feelings, behaviors, and attitudes in a non-judgmental space. She believes in the power of encouragement and uses it as a tool to motivate her clients towards self-awareness and
personal growth. Her goal is to empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges with courage, resilience, and a strong sense of community.

Jen has experience working in the Gainesville area supporting the foster care and adoption community. In her spare time Jen enjoys spending time in nature, creating art, traveling, and connecting with her friends.
