Ashley Ward
Clinician
Ashley is a graduate student at the University of Florida studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She began her work life in the service industry and in healthcare, where she witnessed how deeply emotions, thoughts, and life experiences shape overall wellbeing. This led her into the field of mental health, where she now supports clients in exploring their inner worlds with curiosity and care.
Ashley views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative, supportive space where meaningful change can unfold through connection. Drawing from interests in yoga, spirituality, somatics, and the natural world, Ashley takes a holistic approach, attending to the many layers of internal experience that influence how we live, relate, and move through the world. She is especially interested in helping clients reconnect with and embody their innate wholeness, cultivate greater ease and wellbeing, and expand their capacity for joy.
Her clinical approach integrates Internal Family Systems (parts work), somatic processing, and Gestalt therapy. Ashley works with individuals healing from a wide range of traumatic experiences, including relational and attachment-based trauma, as well as clients exploring spirituality, LGBTQ+ identities, people examining their relationship with substances, and clients seeking deeper self-understanding and personal growth.
Ashley is committed to creating a therapeutic space that is unconditionally accepting, collaborative, and rooted in genuine curiosity. She aims to support her clients in exploring what matters most to them at their own pace. Outside of counseling, she enjoys cooking, music and dancing, spending time outdoors, and being cozy with her kitties.
