Amanda is a graduate student at the University of Florida, pursuing both her Master’s and Specialist degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With a diverse background as a botanist, yoga teacher, and volunteer Crisis Phone Line Worker, Amanda’s journey into counseling is rooted in a deep passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner power.
She believes in the transformative strength of connection and healing, drawing on her unique experiences to create an authentic, supportive space where clients can explore their inner world and how it shapes their external lives.
At The Nook, Amanda is particularly passionate about working with clients facing identity exploration, ADHD, anxiety, depression, relational trauma, and those navigating ethical non-monogamy. She is committed to offering compassionate, affirming support to LGBTQ+ clients.
Amanda’s therapeutic approach integrates Existentialism and Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory, while prioritizing humanistic and person-centered techniques. She is dedicated to guiding clients in reconnecting with their authentic selves and fostering meaningful growth.
Outside of her professional life, Amanda enjoys staying active outdoors with her dog. She finds peace in gardening, reading, and playing piano.
